Man, that paragraph about mocking other kinks is about how I feel/felt about watersports. It's too easy to say "yeah, I'm a kinky motherfucker, but at least I'm not {pissing on people/kink of choice}, that's fucking weird." And I'm trying to improve on that -- mostly just recognizing that what I'm into is what I'm into, and what's my Very Favorite Kink might be someone else's hard limit or vice versa. The only exception I'll make to that is something which is in some way nonconsensual is very Not Okay -- and I don't mean IC-noncon, I mean actually really noncon (or dubcon.)

I, too, didn't take that line in Nice Place to Visit as mocking the daddy thing -- mostly because John and Rodney aren't really talking about daddy kink, but instead Caldwell. As a leather daddy. And Rodney's line makes sense to me because I've had to think about people I didn't previously view as even sexual as very sexual and possibly kinky, and it's weird and slightly arousing every time. Especially when your head tries to 'shop some ridiculous costume onto your mental image of them and it just does not work.
