Adam/Jamie!

1. When I started shipping them: They were always the BrOTP, but they actually weren't my first pairing! I didn't really ship them ship them until I read Normal Working Relationship, and then I was like, "Oh, now I get it." But, I mean, you have to ship them. Even the Narrator ships them.
2. What I think their challenge is: Uh, Adam. And Jamie. Is that responsive?
3. What makes me happy about them: Adam is all "Wheeeeeee!" and Jamie is all "::mustache::" and they just please me. :D
4. What makes me sad about them: I get really sad when Adam gets all >:( at Jamie (usually because Jamie's a big cheat, but I kind of love that about him).
5. What moment I wish had never happened: It was during one of their Mythbuster-offs- I think it was Polishing Dung, but I'm not sure- and Adam got so pissed off at Jamie that he was yelling and swearing. That made me very D: face. It's like watching your parents fight! It's not okay!
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Well, y'know, they're already married to other people, and Adam's wife, at least, seems adorable (I'm not even sure I know what Jamie's wife's name is). So I'm cool with that.
7. My happily ever after for them: ...Don't they already have happily ever after? So, like, more of the same. :D

Aw, :D :D :D, YES, you know, I've been trying to put a name to why I feel so upset when they fight in a non-fun way, and it's *exactly* like seeing your parent's fight, that's the feeling I get.

Also - Adam is all "Wheeeeeee!" and Jamie is all "::mustache::" . Hehehehe. Yes.

They DO already have a happy-ever-after! You're so right. That's what's so wonderful about them.

Sheppard/Woolsey!

1. When I started shipping them: Probably, like, ten minutes after Woolsey showed up. It was written that I would ship them.
2. What I think their challenge is: Mostly I think bureaucracy would get in their way, because Richard is very willing to compromise on some points, but not others, and I'm not sure where sleeping with the military commander in spite of DADT falls.
3. What makes me happy about them: They are so classy! They smoke cigars! Woolsey wears a suit and is toppy! John wears lots of black and is subby! MFEO!
4. What makes me sad about them: ...Nothing? I don't know that there's anything to be sad about.
5. What moment I wish had never happened: The personification of Woolsey's desires kind of annoyed me. She was great in context, but heterosexism for the fail.
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Clearly, I don't care who John ends up with. :D I also wouldn't mind seeing Woolsey end up with Ronon or Teyla (or both!). Or Weir. Because she's not dead.
7. My happily ever after for them: It would involve a lot of being classy and tied up (for John, obvs). I also, moreso than with other pairings, don't want to see them leave Atlantis. They should be classy with an ocean view.

John/Rodney! (and/or John/Meredith)

John/Rodney!

1. When I started shipping them: Hide and Seek, probably. I read McShep fic before I watched the show, but I was like unto a fic vacuum, reading pretty much anything (I even used to read John/Elizabeth, ffs).
2. What I think their challenge is: Uh, like, everything. That's why I love them. They make total sense on a personal level, but everything else is working against them.
3. What makes me happy about them: It just makes me happy when they look at each other and they're all ":D".
4. What makes me sad about them: They're both just, just buttheads, man. They need to be slapped around until they act right, okay?
5. What moment I wish had never happened: The Shrine. Is that bad? The beers-on-the-pier scene became the new citrus allergy and/or Doranda in terms of shit fandom will not let go of, and the end with Keller was just creepy.
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I don't care who they end up with (unless it's Keller), but I can't stand to break them up. They either have to get together and stay together until they die, or never even make out. It is one or the other.
7. My happily ever after for them: I wanna see them as old men in a home somewhere, all jacked up and broken down, but still alive and still together. Possibly the home is on New Sateda.


John/Meredith!

1. When I started shipping them: Well, I mean, I already shipped them before there was a Mer.
2. What I think their challenge is: They don't know what the hell they're doing! They've never been in a relationship like their one, and they're just kind of fumbling around blindly.
3. What makes me happy about them: They're just so crazy about each other, and I really think they could make it work, too- they're two different propositions, really.
4. What makes me sad about them: Mer makes me sad. :( She and Rodney both are very insecure, but it's a whole lot closer to the surface with Mer, possibly because she's been knocked around more than Rodney.
5. What moment I wish had never happened: Ha! It's my story! I don't have to have one!
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Nobody, dammit!
7. My happily ever after for them: I already know what it is. :D My ideal ending for them is much like my ideal ending for John and Rodney. Except they also have a robot. (Mer built it.)

7. I totally want to see them as old men, even if it's just platonic. It would be so perfect, them being old and cranky and bitching at each other, but still with the love. ♥

5. There are reasons I love that episode, but in terms of the fanfic it spawned, a billion times YES to what you said. Good episode (-the end weirdness), but bad as fic trope.

3. They're such dorks for each other! I love that they play games together -- RC cars, Ancient Civilization, chess. They're buddies.
