A meme!
From kate (and others): Here are the last twenty-one first lines I wrote in fanfic! Several of these are from stories with multiple chapters, so they are the first lines of the last chapter posted.
1. Tony had lost count of how many days it had been since he was snatched and imprisoned.
2. "Got a mission for you," Fury says, pushing the file across the desk to him.
3. Phil manages to get a grand total of fifteen feet into the apartment before he's got Clint all over him, stuck to him like a magnet.
4. Clint doesn't snore, but very, very occasionally, Phil wishes he did.
5. Steve has no idea why this is all hilarious.
6. "Do you trust me?" Maria asks.
7. Everybody knew that you knew that you knew when you were eight.
8. "This is not about Tony," Pepper says the first time, even though there's no value in pretending that this is something other than what it is.
9. "You just have to fucking have it, don't you," Phil says, undoing his tie and laying it over the arm of the chair.
10. You never slept with a client, and everyone knew that. It made it too easy to screw you, in so many ways.
11. "Those are not your panties, babe."
12. "I brought you a present," her father said, sitting down at the edge of the bed and handing her the package.
13. Thank God Thor has learned the concept of an inside voice, because Phil can only catch him at HQ, which isn't the most apt place to invite someone to an orgy.
14. Per regulations, collared subs working for SHIELD are given two options: one, a standard quick-release collar, to be abandoned or destroyed upon enemy discovery or attack, or two, no collar at all.
15. Pepper's almost asleep when Tony comes in, which is a surprise, given that she'd actually turned in early.
