DAY ONE: THE FIRST TURNABOUT
or, Why is that man wearing a bindi?

Defense Attorney: Phoenix Wright
Side Bar: Mia Fey
Prosecutor: Winston Payne
Defendant: Larry Butz
Victim: Cindy Stone
Play Time: 25 min.

I never cared much for this case, mostly because I played JFA before AA and thus didn't need to be told the controls. There isn't much to say about it, really; it's a basic "what does this button do?" case. The story has very little emotional depth, especially when playing back through, because Larry's girlfriends are a dime a dozen.

The main thing that struck me about the case upon playing back through is how very serious and with it the judge is. He acts like he might actually have some idea of how to run a courtroom. Maybe it's because it's the first case, but neither he nor Payne exhibit many signs of the personalities they end up developing.

Sawhit is interesting to me, but only in light of later witnesses. He's the very first witness you see go through the 180 personality change that happens so very often- Dahlia, Ini Miney, etc. It's almost diagnostic of the series, and to me it's different than, say, Gant's electric boogaloo or Adrian's exploding glasses.

But, without any further srs literary bizness, may I present the:

Top Three Reasons To Play The First Turnabout:
3. Phoenix's attempt at telepathy
2. Sawhit go crazy fall down
1. Mia's side bar porn star poses.

Tomorrow: Turnabout Sisters!
