DAY SEVEN: THE LOST TURNABOUT
or, This case is bananas

I just have to say that my personal headcanon for Richard Wellington is now completely terrifying. It puts a whole new spin on this case for me.
Why is it that the first case of both AA and JFA has a really bizarre puzzle requiring outside knowledge? In AA, it's the damn time difference puzzle. To solve it, you have to know the time difference between Los Angeles and Paris. That's all well and good, but it is not stated before the puzzle that the game takes place in Los Angeles. Hell, the first time I played through, I was trying to figure out the time difference between Tokyo and Paris. And then, in JFA? The fucking glove. You're a better woman than I am if you know which hand a catcher's mitt goes on, or if you could figure out that that was supposed to be a right-handed one. I had to get it by dumb luck the first time.
But anyway. No one is cuter than Maggey Byrde. It's trufax. You get the first inklings of Gumshoe/Maggey here, which is just deadly cute. Later, they have many awkward little babies.
I thought having Phoenix have amnesia was a rather clever device for starting the game. Nothing's clever about amnesia, obviously, as it was declared "old meme" sometime in the seventies, but it works in this case. Continuing with the music theme, I would further like to point out that I have the same ringtone as Phoenix. You may worship me as your nerd master now. Or you could just go to Cellsea and get it for yourself. But just wait till you see my Blue Badger DS case...
