"We'll be taking jumpers three, six, and nine to MX8-192 at 1300 today," Sheppard concluded. "And now, I believe my boyfriend, Dr. McKay, has some information he'd like to present."

"Yes, thank you, Colonel Sheppard," McKay said. "I'd just like to announce that since last week, science division productivity is up ten percent. This figure excludes Dr. Zelenka, of course, who, has barricaded himself in his quarters with- who was it?"

"Stackhouse, dear," Sheppard supplied.

"Yes, thank you- Sergeant Stackhouse. He will be returning to duty on Friday," he continued. "On a more personal note, after this meeting, Colonel Sheppard and I are going to have a romantic picnic on the east pier."

"Excellent report, Dr. McKay," Sheppard told him. "And nice ass this morning, by the way."

"Fucking Americans," Carson said into his hand.

McKay brightened. "Oh hey, speaking of which-"

It's where I found out about it, too. I never expected them to be so quick! American government is well-known for its tendency to just sit around muttering about the possibility of maybe, someday, possibly in a few decades, changing something, especially if it's a social issue.
