So that's how that story ends, I suppose.
BUT ANYWAY. I am doing this meme from
pocky_slash, for she and it are adorable.:
Give me a pairing and I will tell you:
who is the big spoon/little spoon
what is their favorite non-sexual activity
who uses all the hot water in the morning
what they order from take out
what is the most trivial thing they fight over
who does most of the cleaning
what has a season pass in their DVR
who controls the netflix queue
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working
who steals the blankets
who leaves their stuff around
who remembers to buy the milk
who remembers anniversaries

Date: 2011-12-05 04:25 am (UTC)what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Video games are a favorite. They're mostly playing Saints Row 3 right now, which they're both slightly embarrassed of, as it is taking away time they could be playing Skyrim, but, y'know. Smashing things has its appeal.
who uses all the hot water in the morning: John, but only because Rodney is a night-bathing type. There is not enough time in the morning to fulfill his hedonistic (but not necessarily sexual) shower-related needs.
what they order from take out: The takeout thing has been a somewhat problematic issue, because John will eat anything and never expresses a preference when asked. This agitates Rodney to the point where he had to write a computer program that, once fed all the takeout places they usually order from, would randomly pick one. It has served them well.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over: It used to be loading the dishwasher, but then Rodney summarily banned John from ever touching it again.
who does most of the cleaning: It's kind of a toss-up, really. Rodney is very fussy about the kitchen, as we've seen, but he tends to let his books and papers sort of pile up. John usually ends up being the one who has to do laundry, so he's mostly in charge of keeping pants off the ceiling fan, etc.
what has a season pass in their DVR: It's a little eclectic. Doctor Who, for obvious reasons, and Jeopardy is a perennial favorite. John watches NCIS, and Rodney can't even fathom why he would want to. In retaliation, Rodney put NTSF:SD:SUV:: on there as well, just to make a point. He's also put Venture Bros. and Nova on there, for wildly different reasons; John kind of shies away when he watches either of them, because Venture Bros. kind of depresses him and Nova is an excuse for Rodney to yell at the TV for an hour. And there's a bunch of Sports Center on there, etc.
who controls the netflix queue: They have a deal: John can add anything he wants, but Rodney very strictly controls the order of things. It's best for everyone.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: John does, out of fear that it'll only take one round of Rodney's righteous rage to get them kicked out.
who steals the blankets: John accuses Rodney of this, but it is completely a lie. More than once in the night Rodney has woken up entirely bereft of blankets of any kind.
who leaves their stuff around: That's a mix of the two of them. Rodney's a little messier, but John's prone to sock abandonment as well.
who remembers to buy the milk: No one. There are many impromptu runs to the store.
who remembers anniversaries: They both have anniversary anxiety, so they are both very careful to mark it down in such places as are appropriate. They're both still sort of convinced they've got the date wrong, so there's a lot of stepping around it at breakfast until they're both sure.

Date: 2011-12-05 08:16 am (UTC)what is their favorite non-sexual activity Reading, by a long shot. Their apartment looks like a library, clearly.
who uses all the hot water in the morning: They have a charm for that, obviously, but if they didn't, the answer would be Hermione. That much hair takes upkeep.
what they order from take out: I don't think they're the type, really. The occasional curry or somesuch, but mostly they eat in.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over: They have really passive aggressive fights over really trivial things. Like, really trival, the correct way to tie back the curtains, etc.
who does most of the cleaning: They're both total neat freaks. The house is spotless; even when they're at their most lazy, it's nothing to cast a couple charms to take care of any minor mess that might arise.
what has a season pass in their DVR: Hermione does keep a television in the spare bedroom, but it's not worth it to have a DVR, because she mostly just watches Doctor Who and Sherlock. Snape caught half an episode of Merlin one time and almost shat himself, whereupon he tried to ban the TV, but he was unsuccessful.
who controls the netflix queue: Snape is slightly more open to Netflix. Hermione controls the queue, though, because Snape is still distrustful of the computer. Anyway, Hermione has to pick all the movies, because Snape knows what genres he likes (film noir, etc), but that's it.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Hermione usually ends up fixing it herself. Snape just puts more clothes on, adding to the seven layers he's already wearing, and by the time he notices Hermione's usually got it fixed already.
who steals the blankets: There's little blanket-stealing, but Hermione does not hesitate to put her freezing feet on Snape's legs. Snape sucks it up, because he's not fond of the alternative, which would probably be one of them sleeping elsewhere. Suboptimal.
who leaves their stuff around: Stuff doesn't get left around much, except stacks and stacks of books, and they're both to blame for that.
who remembers to buy the milk: Best thing ever invented by muggle or witch alike: the magical shopping list. They're both conscientious about taking it with them to shop, so the milk is rarely forgotten.
who remembers anniversaries: Both of them do, though Snape doesn't like to admit it. They save the big stuff (which is not very big) for Christmas, but there are small things for anniversaries, small presents left on desks and the like.
